We’re Starting Construction of the Gjønnes Tunnel! 🥳

In August, we will begin the excavation of a new road tunnel that will connect Bekkestua in Bærum municipality directly to the E18. 👷 The tunnel will be linked to the Høvik Tunnel, which is part of the E18 West Corridor.

This will be a challenging project – both technically and in terms of schedule. We will face many obstacles, including extensive injection work, noise restrictions, and demanding geology. The railway crossing area will be particularly demanding. 🛤️ Here, we will use a micropile wall and the NATM method – a tunneling technique for loose soil that is uncommon in Norway.

Still, we approach this project with enthusiasm and strong expertise. 💪🏻 We are an experienced team that thrives on challenges – and we know that it is exactly projects like this that help us grow and develop further. 😊

We are carrying out the work as a subcontractor for OHLA, with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Statens vegvesen) as the client.
